DD has an offer from NLCS (7+). Now that the initial shock has worn off we are struggling to decide and would love to hear from parents of current or former pupils of the school. DD is bright but not quite an alpha female, she will work hard but needs a nudge. Can’t help but worry about the pressure to perform. I’m told by her current school and others that NLCS are particularly adept at selecting those who they feel have what it takes to thrive there and if she has been offered a place she is likely to succeed and unlikely to feel too pressured. But thereis the odd comment on here of girls leaving the junior school either for being unable to keep up or having anxiety at no longer being the top of their class and fearful of their performance or who just have too much homework to enjoy their childhood. DD has offers from SHHS CLJS and Highgate but we can’t help but feel that NLCS is such an excellent opportunity for her that’s difficult to turn down.
Thank you in advance !
