Channing waiting list

Hi all - our DD has been put on the waiting list at Channing. I have read the previous posts of the channing waiting list of 2022, it would be great to have some information from the parents who have DD got in channing 2022.

What is your guess as to how long the waiting list actually is?
Will channing over offer let's say 60 (The head said they will offer 48 this year)

Hi @Steph223, we didn't get any reply yet. My friend's daughter is on the waiting list of Highgate, today she got the email to say that her daughter has a place. Hopefully Channing this year didn't over offer too much, so we still will have hope for the wait list to move. Did your daughter have other independent school offer?

From the previous posts, it seems like Channing had the offer explode in 2019. Channing is more conservative in 2020, so there are some places for the girls in waiting list. In 2022, too many offers were sent again ,hopefully they can be more conservative this year, so the waiting list will move.

I thought the same - that it might move more quickly this year after they over offered last year. But then I suppose it depends where on the waiting list you are!
