Hi we have been lucky enough to be offered a place at the English / Chinese school Kensington Wade and as it is a fairly new school would love to hear from other parents of children that attend there to hear how it is, how much homework, how much Mandarin is spoken, how are the facilities, what is the academic level vs others schools in the area for example Kensington Prep. Would love to hear from current parents please before we have to make a final decision

Hi SoAtko, my daughter attends the school. She loves going to school everyday and we are happy with the school. What year group will your kid in when he/ she join the school? Homework is highly related to the year group. Mandarin and English is 50/ 50. School is new with the oldest kids in Year 5.

Hi Eleana1023 thank you for replying, appreciate it. Can I ask what the homework is like, how intensive are the lessons, do the children get pushed or allowed to progress in their own time. And how are the other parents, is there a good collaboration and friendship between parenstllts or is there a competitive edge like in some of the schools around the area? Thabk you for helping

Hi I am thinking about Kensington Wade in London as reception school for little one. Went for a your which was nice. The students look happy and fluent in the older classrooms with both English and Chinese.
We are an international family. I am from North America with basic mandarin and my husband is British.

Are there any parents that currently send their children there who can comment on:

  1. homework amount
  2. fluency of mandarin
  3. sports and extracurriculars their children do during school
  4. extra curricular or tuition done outside school not provided by the school
  5. parents/community
  6. teacher responsiveness - I was told on the tour kids have a individualised report daily / weekly to ensure lessons are pitched to their level
  7. comparison to peers at other schools int terms or academics and development

thanks in advanced
