Broadstone Poole in year and late applications

Hi all,

We are looking at houses in Broadstone and hope to move by summer as we have already completed on the sale of our property. I’m wondering what is likely to happen with my children’s school placements.

I have a child in year 2 and one in year 4 so we would be late applications for year 3 and 5 entry as well as doing an in year transfer.

I am expecting there to be limited to no spaces in local schools and so wondering what will happen. They have to be given a place somewhere so does any one have any idea what happens in these cases for the in year transfer? As for the late application for middle school I’ve no idea where my older one would go if she didn’t get a place at Broadstone middle school.

We are moving from Salisbury and I have no idea of the first, middle school set up or what might happen if all the schools are full! I will of course be calling all the schools once we are in process of purchase.

Any advice and insight would be much appreciated.
