Has everyone got their offers now?
We are weighing up our choices for our DS and we're curious what people think of these schools/if they've made a decision yet?

Thanks

We've got offers from both Dulwich Prep and Ducks (and also a deferred offer for entry to Dulwich College Junior School), but on the waiting list of Alleyn's. We prefer co-ed over single sex, and also a through school. So Alleyns is our obvious choice (Ducks are dominated by boys from 4+ as far as we know) but we don't have the offer right now. If you'd like to push your son a little bit and look for other/better destinations (than Dulwich College or Alleyn's) in 11+ or 13+, then Dulwich Prep would be the obvious choice.

Have you also got the offer from Alleyn's? Please let me know in case you decline. We are wondering if it's worth taking the risk of waiting for people to decline Alleyn's offer.

We got offers for Dulwich Prep and Ducks. We will mostly likely take Ducks as its through to the junior school and then you're all the way through to senior school. We've heard great things about both schools but Ducks is the winner as they offer the through place so you avoid the hassle of the exams. My nephew goes to Dulwich College and is thriving.

We didn't get Alleyns. Only 15 or so places for boys and hundreds apply and most who are offered take their place.

Good luck!

@hexagonhz congratulations! Which one did you finally go with?
Btw - would you mind sharing how you helped your child prepare for these assessments, as I hear they are super super selective.
Appreciate it x
