My son is on the waiting list of Alleyn's Junior School 4+ Reception offer. As far as I know, Alleyn's is quite popular so I am wondering if anybody intends to reject their offer?

We are in a similar situation, on WL but for a girl. Did you hear anything from them? Feel it’s unlikely …considering they already over-offer…

I know it’s disappointing . We were also in the same situation with some other school for 4+ . We were conveyed all the offers have been taken so no place for reserve list !! Sorry

I contacted Alleyns last Wednesday and was told they were still yet to hear from most offer holders and no further news since then. The acceptance deadline is last Friday noon so probably any news could only come next week in the earliest. We’ve accepted the offer from Ducks (which guarantees an automatic transition to Dulwich College after year 2, and we probably would have accepted even if we got a place from Alleyns on second thoughts).
@VKmom : hope you’ll get the good news.
@Dcdcs disappointing but perhaps better to know it earlier than further waiting

@hexagonhz I would probably do the same as you if I had a boy in this case: to go through to DC. Good choice!

@hexagonhz - good decision , I would have done the same .

When you all got letters, did they tell you then that you were waitlisted?

I just received an email from the school on the offer date, saying my son has been put on the waiting list and when the offer holders need to accept etc.
