Just that really, I'm considering habs for my DS for 4+ the school looks amazing and I'm in love. However I've heard some not so great things about it, not sure whether these are just baseless rumours from haters. Does anyone have any first hand experience with the school? If so what has it been like?

Do not have a child there myself but know several who do - the pre-prep is very laid back and nurturing. Keep in mind the current cohort is the very first 4+ entry so they are still finding their feet themselves with curriculum etc for the first year. Next 2 years very well established and nothing exceptional academically and those that join at 7 will be further ahead. Facilities are fabulous, especially as in new building on main site now (as I would expect for the fees they charge!).

Academic pressure increases from prep (7+) and then significantly at 11+. If your child is capable and fits in, it is an absolutely fantastic school from what I know of it.

@Usernamehell thank you for this! Good to know that it is nurturing. I know have friends at the girls school and they seem to love it. But couldn't find any info on the boys.

We are also considering Habs for 7plus for a boy and I am trying to speak to as many parents are possible. The general themes are similar to what has already been said here - prep and pre prep are great, amazing facilities and lots of exposure for the boys. Pressure ramps up Y6/7 onwards. We are also concerned about sending him on the coach for almost 1 hour plus a day at this age and that will be a factor if and when we get an offer !
