Could you please tell me how many children are in your prep class?

Also if there is a full time TA in that class.

Thank you

18 in my sons. They do have a TA but they flit in and out so aren't there all the time.

16 in my daughters class and yes, they have a full time TA

Whatnextarghhhhhh · 14/12/2022 15:23

15 and yes.

At my son's old school - 20 in the class including some with considerable learning difficulties. 1 TA attached to a particular child and 3 others who were part time. I assume the large number of TAs was because of the children with difficulties.
At his new school - 16 in the class, 1 full time TA.

2 classes of 11 in my son's year, with shared TA.

CruCru · 14/12/2022 15:35

20 in a class and 2 TAs

tryingsomethingnew · 14/12/2022 15:37

17 and one full time TA, one part time.

8 in mine y1, no permanent TA but maybe 1/3 of the time? It is an unusual small class year, though - norm is 15 per class and more TA support.

blissadventure · 14/12/2022 17:43

Reception - 2 classes of 12 pupils. Full time teacher and TA for each class.

tryingsomethingnew · 14/12/2022 21:35

Always expected 24 to be the max in independent schools.

RunDownRita · 14/12/2022 21:37

16, one FT TA and one PT.

ForthethingsIdo · 15/12/2022 13:10
