Habs and NLCS +4 assessments

My DD will be doing both the Habs and NLCS assessments - does anyone have any tips or going through the same process?

Also if we do get places, (and that's a really big if!) Which one should we go for? My partner and I are completely new to this private school malarkey, but think both schools are amazing.

Hey @Mum1808 also going through the same and agree that both schools seem amazing.
If you get a place at both then
probably go with your gut about the one you feel your daughter would enjoy the most. Might even be possible to have another look around both before you make a final choice.
The location and availability of coach stops near you may also be a factor.

No more for us for now unless an invite to NLCS second round comes through.
We had Habs round 2 and St Helen’s last week.
Waiting game. How about you?

Good luck on your round 2 assessments! DS also got invited back for second round assessments at habs, his is next week. Any idea on what they test the kids on? I believe the second round assessments are 1-1?

Ours was for the girls school….had a parent interview and yes a 1-1 but not much info gleaned about what they did tbh. Good luck!!

we didn't get HABS 2nd round. Now waiting on NLCS 1st round result.

Good luck to you both! We didn't get through to the second stage for Habs, but we did for NLCS. Genuinely don't know how they assess these gorgeous kids at such a young age. When I was waiting for my DD to come out of both assessments I just thought how on earth do they pick out kids, they all must be brilliant in their own little ways.

Feeling more nervous by the day. We had a second interview for Habs but not NLCS. No idea how they do this and @Mum1808 agree they are all so brilliant in their own ways. Best of luck with both your upcoming assessments @Mum1808 and @DBSB.

Hi all my daughter has been waitlisted for habs - anyone else in the same situation or know anything on movement ? Is anyone rejecting a place ? Does anyone know how many offers they make and how many they waitlist or the realities of this ? Has anyone been offered a place after being waitlisted ? Thank you

We’re in the same position! Would love to know how many are put on the waitlist, and the likelihood of being given a firm offer….

Can I ask if you were told you were on the waitlist or did you ask to be? Got the email from NLCS this morning - we didn't get a place. I won't lie, it does sting. My DH hasn't taken it well, someone has told him his little girl isn't good enough, so it hurts. It just wasn't meant to be. All the best for the rest of you! Xx
