Hi, we are possibly going to be lucky enough to be offered places at both schools and are looking for opinions on them both for everything - academic, care for the children, after school activities, homework, attitude of other children and parents etc. We live in Denmark and would be moving so this is a big life changing thing for all of us and we want to find out as much as we can before making any decisions.

I would decide on whether you'd prefer to live in Guildford or in London. Guildford High is a through school so you could avoid changing schools at 11 but otherwise the differences are probably not enough to override the decision of where you'd prefer to live.

Yes 100% go on where you want to live. Despite being so near London via train Guildford is a small U.K. town with bad traffic. Some of the classmates will live in the villages outside Guildford, do you want to spend you weekends driving to villages around Surrey for classmate birthday parties? Public transport is non existent. Or do you want to spend your weekends zipping around London on the tube. Don't forget there are nearly 20 weeks a year when your dd isn't at school.

They are both great schools but your can't make such a big decision based on the schooling at such a young age, dc chop and change schools here more frequently than you would expect.

Hi OP, we are in exactly same boat atm. Have you guys managed to make the decision on where to go? We are very torn between the two choices.
