We're supposed to be moving to Strood soon however we are struggling to find schools nearby, no one has places!

We like Strood but not tied to it, now considering Chatham or Rochester. Is this any better? Be going in to year one

If you email the admissions team at medway council, they will provide you a list of schools with y1 spaces currently, they're really helpful.

Personally I would avoid an infant school - there are a few across the Borough and I think it leads to too many transitions.

Where are you looking to move to? You also need to consider traffic - the 1 way system in Strood and the Rochester bridge get mega busy in the morning so if you are nearer the Wainscott side have you looked at there, chattenden or the schools in hoo?

Also happy if you want to send a message if you'd rather

Sorry - me again! Halling, Cuxton and Snodland (falls under Kent not medway) may be options to consider out towards the m2 bridge and beyond

Weve contacted the council and the amount of school places has gone down since we startfed conveyancing. We're looking at frindsbury area but there is a mismatch between school available location's and where houses are available to rent/buy. We are going to rent for a bit most likely.

We didn't like the area of Strood where all the streets have tree names.

Rochester or chatham are possible alternatives

There are a couple of new estates in hoo, Halling and still lots of building on St Mary's island in Chatham. May also be worth looking at Rainham where there is a néw estate being built within walking distance of the station
