St Martins School Northwood Vs MTS PREP Vs HABS

My DS (Year 1 in an Outstanding State School), written his 7+ assessment, to St Johns, St Martins, MTS Prep and HABS, is there a preference in these schools?
Bit confused whether we should go for private schools in the first place? quite impressed with the existing school, not much of a difference compared to St johns or St Martins, obviously not par with MTS Prep or HABS though, but really worried about the competition at 11+ and the stress/pressure levels to go with it, don't want my DS to go through it, I have recently seen what other kids had to go through to get into Grammer or HABS/MTS at 11+.. Any Insights are more than helpful, thanks for your help in advance.!!

Well, why do you want a private school? That will effect if you go or not.

If you went to Habs or MT are you guaranteed entry all through? I’m not sure I’d move at 7+ for a prep to then move again at 11+. 13+ is getting harder and harder to get.

Also, 7+ is year 3 so is your son the right age?

DS has been offered a place at St Johns and St Martins, disappointed he didn't get through to MTS Prep as it was our first choice, but any pros and cons between St Johns and St Martins?? i live in Croxley BTW, travel wise not much between these two schools? Tough Call, Inputs are much appreciated,

my ds didn’t get through 4+ habs so quite disappointed as I had loved the school. He has a spot for st Martin’s Northwood. Any reviews on that?

Its such a good school, got first hand reviews!! feeder to HABS, MTS and other good secondary schools cant go wrong with it i guess.

I'm in a similar position, trying to decide between St John's and St Martin's. Did you get any feedback from parents on their experience at St John's? I can only find reviews on St Martin's. Both are fantastic schools. Thanks!
