NLCS / HABS 7+ Plus Assessment 1

Just opening a new thread about these two schools. Is anyone sitting these? We had our DD sit NLCS today. Wanted to see what others thoughts

@saj2015 we are registered for Habs but really not sure whether to sit it, the sample paper for maths looks so intense, despite the prep we have done! Wondering if we should just bow out

DD sat NLCS 7+ yesterday but we are not applying for Habs. DD was upbeat about it and managed to finish everything but with only 7 places on offer at NLCS I am not holding breath. It was good to see all the girls smiling when they came out, my daughter enjoyed the experience and such a relief to get that first exam out of the way.

I havent actually seen the maths paper for the girls school. Can you share this?

Likewise with our DD. I think its pot luck. I was under the impression there was 8-10 spaces. Any idea how many girls applied and how many get called back to the next round?

Anyone doing Habs 2nd round tomorrow? What papers will they be doing? Anyone with any insight?

What did your DD think of the second round? Mine said it felt like a normal school day albeit more group-based. Sounds like the school is just good at making it not feel like a test/interview. Loooong wait now!

Anyone else have an offer from NLCS 7+? Would be lovely to hear your thoughts or from anyone with an elder sibling at the school.
