I am VERY VERY cross with DD

DD has spent 6.5 days at school so far this year so on Sunday when she had a sore ear I was sympathetic & fed up

She was off school yesterday & sent home today at lunchtime

I took her to the GP & she is fine, no infection, no swollen glands, no reddness (or even pinkness) in her ear

I am SO cross - she is missing guides tonite & going to bed early

I am furious

Thanks chaps - I have calmed down now

She has also admitted she wasn't that ill

We are working on the I decided what you do talk - the GP brought up the are you being bullied/falling behind because you have been off/feeling uncomfortable at school - but everything was fine, it's just Mummy being unreasonable (- which is another reason I was cross because I didn't appreciate that)

So she has been all sweetness & light today

But late last night/early this am she lost her last big tooth - so there would have been a fair amount of pain from that but she said "I'm going in to school anyway" to which I replied (prehaps foolishly) "Too Damn Right"

KatyMac - have you told her yet that "mumsnet says" she can damn well stay in bed if she is ill?!

Well she made the rest of the week
