clash with sats?

Due to a family bereavement we need to go to Germany over May half term holiday to sign some papers. As we are going by night train and need to be there the 24th May have just handed in a request for dd to have the 23rd off as we have to get to Paris that day to make the train connection. It is the last day of term before the half term hols .

I will find out soon enough I guess but I wonder whether this will clash with SATs? DD is only 6 so it is the keystage 1 SATS not the proper ones. Any ideas when they are - and whether having that one day off would be a disaster? We are in Oxon.

I think they are the end of April/beginning of May.

We have been informed by our school:-

KS2 (Y6) Sats 12th - 16th May.

KS1 (Y2) Sats assessments done throughout the year but more intensively throughout May.

So, I wouldn't have thought that the dates you say would make any difference to your ds KS1 sats if your school is same as above.

They're fairly low-key in KS1, and should be done during the course of normal lessons, in small groups. It's unlikely that they'd be doing them the last day before half-term, and even if they are, children might be off for all sorts of reasons (e.g.illness) in which case they'd re-organise the group. It's not like you're off on a jolly. Explain your reasons and forget about it.
