New to this so bear with me :)
We are looking at primary schools in the Victoria Park area (East London Hackney). We are lucky to have a few good schools near us but the Lauriston is the closest.
Does anyone have children who go there and what do they think?
Have heard mixed reviews - used to be really good and in high demand but went downhill (including a scandal about faking results?!) but is now on the up again? Also has a new head who is doing good things?
Have read that it is creative (which sounds great) although maths and reading are well below local and national averages (not so great).
Am planning on visiting in January to see for myself and have asked local parents, although feedback is definitely mixed!
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
