Nursery schools

Hi, we have just decided to move to Hampstead/ West Hampstead area because of all the school options. We want to move there by March latest, but would like to sort out a nursery for our 21 month son before the move to make it easier for everyone to manage work, settling into the house etc.

However because we have only just decided the move there, some options like Mulberry and Broadhurst are oversubscribed. Northbridge house seems like a decent option as they also do an early term start in February which fits in perfectly with our move timeline. However, NBH is not our first choice.

Can someone please let me know their thoughts on if we can join NBH until September and then move him to another school if we get an offer from a more preferred option where the term starts in September? Is it straightforward to do that and something that happens commonly?
