Private primary schools in Purley

We are considering the following schools for our 6 years old boy:
Cumnor boys school
Elmhurst
Laleham
St David's
It's so hard to make a decision. The top priority is to choose the school that will prepare my son properly for 11+ exams without extra tuition. not even sure if that's possible?
Any feedback/insights/experiences in schools would be appreciated ( whether positive or not so)

Yana, we recently did a thorough search in these schools for my son as he was going through a change in schools.

we assessed Elmhurst, Cumnor, St David’s however came to the conclusion that we wanted to send him to a school in a greener area.

I myself am I former Elmhurst boy and loved my experience at the school. It is a slightly smaller school however leverages the facilities of the schools in the local area and despite having a slight blip in previous years, results seem to have picked back up and I can say with some certainty the new headteacher seems to be outstanding! I believe she will really transform the school to once again be performing as one of the best schools in the area.

Cumnor we had a really poor experience, seems to be more of a business than a school wanting to put bums on seats not really getting time to know the boys.

St Davids we visited seemed like a lovely school but was not what we were looking for but the results were very impressive.

if my list were the same as yours I’d have Elmhurst at the top of it. Smaller school with good results and also slightly cheaper than a Cumnor but there is a lot of similarity in results.
