The Mount (Huddersfield) or Hipperholme Grammar?

Anyones child or know anyone who’s attends The Mount or Hipperholme Grammar?

considering private primary for my DS. Ideally would like to send him to a state grammar but these are the only two private options around our area. There is Gleddings but we are no. 25 in the waiting list so not really an option.

Have you considered Heathfield? Hipperholme doesn’t have the best reputation IMO, but I don’t really know much about The Mount these days. I’m an ex Gleddings girl myself, but from what I hear these days, Heathfield is just as good.

Are you very set on private? I’m a Primary Teacher in Calderdale and there are some amazing state primaries in our Authority, well on a par with The Gleddings IMO.

I don't know much about either, but worth looking at local state schools if one of the grammars is the goal as I know at least a couple in that area prep for the 11+ (usually as an after school club rather than in normal lessons though).
