Strange swimming class dd 6

DD who has just gone up a group and this was about her third lesson. I was talking to a friend when I noticed dd swimming up the pool on her own and the rest of the group where been teached at the end. Then by the time dd came back the rest of the group had started doing the same and she had to swim again with the group. I watched this happen twice more in the lesson. The teach told my dd to go, she watched for a very short time then turned her attention to the rest of the group. DD got back and the rest of the group would be starting to swim and dd would swim with the group.
Ask dd if teacher told her why she had to swim on her own. She didn't know and didn't care.

Maybe she was more able than the others? or she needed to see how far she could swim/?

Maybe the teach needed to get a better idea of your dd swimming ability and found it easier to observe her on her own.

There could be a perfectly logical explanation the best thing to do is to ask the teach.

Have the rest of the group been in the group for longer than your dd.

I don't think she the only new one as last term their was 5 in that group their is now 7 and I think only one went up so that makes 3 new ones.
Will try and ask teach if she does it again next week, but not easy as they move from one group to the next so fast.
Wouldn't have seemed so stange if some of the other children were doing the same or if I'd seen that before. Have two friend who children are in that class with dd and they say their children have never done that.

Could she have been observing her to see if she was ready to take a badge sorry just trying to think of reasons.

Thanks for that just hoping someone may have some ideas so i'm not waitting till next Thursday evening.
Friend has just told me maybe she knows what been taught already and it was practice while the others learnt. Not convinced and if that's the case why am I paying for her just to swim when it's meant to be lessons.
Plus the other problem is dd does not want to move group as she has only just moved.

How do you know that your DD didn't miss going with the whole group initially because she was faffing about with goggles or something else you didn't see? It's not hard for one child to get out of sync if they have to run to the loo or have another interruption.

You need to ask the instructor really before you can judge whether these lessons are giving value for money or not. Does sound a bit odd

No faffing was watching carfully after the first time as I thought if may have been that. Teacher had the whole group together at the end and sent just dd and saw her go before the attention was turned to the rest of the group.
