OPRO mouth guard fitting for a 5 YO

Hi I’m completely new here, and actually joined specifically for this advice…

I have just had to buy an Opro mouthguard for DS… and have entered a world I have no clue on.

I am quite nervous about fitting it for him.

One of my biggest concerns is about boiling it - from the Opro instructions the cooling time doesn’t sound very long. I’m scared of burning DS mouth. Is this an issue or am I being a complete muppet?

It looks like an instrument of torture and makes me queezy just thinking about burning his mouth.

Any advice in this area is much appreciated?

It will be fine but seems very young to need a mouth guard?? What sport is it for? DS had one for rugby and karate but he was way older than 5.

Not sure any sports need mouth guards at 5. It's tricky with any to not end up with it very hot. But at 7+ they can do it
