Non Verbal Reasoning - 12 types of questions

Hi my daughter will take 11 plus in September. NVR questions are possibly a slight weakness and we do the CGP books and she gets usually 70 or 80% but the questions she does get wrong I am not sure she is learning from those to prevent the same error next time.

I heard there are 12 types of NVR questions. Does this mean there are 12 possible patterns. If so, can anyone link up or explain what these 12 types of questions are? Any other advice welcome. Thanks

I used to be an 11+ tutor. Which test is she doing? That will affect which types she'll encounter.

There are two main providers: CEM and GL. This link takes you through all the GL types if you navigate to NVR- some of them will come up on CEM too

We are doing GL - finding it really hard to help our son with these!

We are consistent practising these but not yet at the required level. Can anyone give some steps to help? I have looked at the webpages which are similar to things we have covered before.
