Hi,
Our family just moved to Kingston and my son got an in year admission in Latchmere which is a 0.7 mile walk away from where we live. Its been about a month in school and he likes the school and so far we have nothing to complain about.
We just found out that he now has a place in St Lukes ,this school is just across the road to where we live. We are very confused now whether to make the switch or continue in Latchmere. Pls help.
FWIW.. Latchmere is a 4 form school and much bigger with 900 kids and St Lukes is much smaller with 300 kids.

TIA

We don't mind the walk to school but are hoping on getting inputs on which is a better school. My son is a very bright kid academically and sporty.

Both schools are good, I know people with kids at both. If your son has already settled at Latchmere I'd stick with that. For senior school the best and brightest largely go to tiffins or private, neither school will prepare him for those exams and people get external tutors.

Thank you. I'm wondering if it is advantageous though to be in a smaller school vs big considering attention given to kids?

I am an experienced primary school teacher and have worked in many excellent London schools. If you're son is bright, I would recommend a smaller school and tutoring to prepare him for exams. I offer tutoring in the local area. If you're interested, please send me a message. I hope this helps.

Thank you both. We have decided to go with the smaller school.

Hi @Bshweta just wondering what you ended up doing? We're considering both schools but are also put off by how big Latchmere is.
Thanks
