Should I just show up at the school?

I’m really frustrated by the new school my children are transferring to. We just moved. Every email I’ve sent since June has been ignored. I was originally told they could attend two transition days at the end of the term (next Monday/Tuesday) but I can’t seem to get information out of anyone. I called on Thursday, and I was told the person I needed to talk to was busy and she’d call me back. It’s been 2 days and no call back. I have no idea if my children will be attending their new school on Monday or not. Should I just go to the school office in-person and ask? Turn up with my kids on Monday? I’m so confused and it’s frustrating me so much that I cannot get ahold of this school.

Go to the school before Monday. As soon as you can if I was you.

I had a nightmare transferring schools and you can call the local council to help.

Go to the school in the next few days and ask them. Hopefully they will give you an answer in person. You don't want to be in limbo with your kids on Monday.

I'd call a few more times before going in person just to save myself the trip.

Not if it is an academy, these arrangements will be made by the trust.

We all seem to trott out go to ‘the local council’ when the local council are having their responsibility for schools eroded by this government.

If it's not too much of a journey and you are able to I would go in and speak to reception in person. Just explain the situation and hopefully they will be able to let you know what's happening (they won't be able to pass you over if you are actually there) x
