Most of my friends who have dcs in other schools have had their reports. We still haven't had dcs reports, is it usual to leave it this late? Last year dcs both had quite bad reports academically despite being excellent for years so I'm feeling a bit nervous about this one.

No report here yet. I can see why you want it when you are apprehensive! Our reports all have a comment by the head teacher, so I can see they take a while to write (including the time taken by the class teacher).

My primary school are releasing their reports on 14 July. We had to have them to the head to be proof read by July 1, giving SLT two weeks to read and write comments on over 360 reports. Plus all the data has to be submitted, moderated and checked for a anomalies. It might not be the case for all schools, but it’s quite a long process to get all the data / details together to make it a meaningful report for parents.

One school I work at have to get theirs to the head by tomorrow latest, presumably so the head can write an individual comment on each one. They'll probably be given out Friday.

Reports take much longer to be completed than you might think!

We’ve still not had ours and there’s only 3 days left of term!

I get that it’s a lot of work to compile, but now it feels like it’s too late to ask anything if we have any queries!

Fingers crossed for a well presented report (and hopefully positive!) to make the wait slightly better!
