Hi, thinking of moving to Cardiff ,myself and my two children. Most important thing is lots of families and very friendly area. Coming from South East area and looking to find a suburb avoiding the cliques that you find here...ideally somewhere with lots of social down to earth people, some diversity , and inclusive people who don't treat you differently like an alien as a single mother! Also a good catchment for primary as stability and good pastoral care for my son (6) is very important. School for my older daughter is sorted though she is a teenager and so transport links also fairly important. Areas and schools i think narrowed down to are Rhiwbina , Whitchurch, Heath (areas close to Rhydpenau). I love the lake and surrounding area but I felt that you would get a better community feel in the other places. Can anyone from the above places give me any pros and cons . Radyr school looking amazing though I felt the area would be a little too quiet. Would love to have bits to do on doorstep ... not asking too much or anything 😂 Any tips , pros/cons from people who know the areas or families that have moved to the areas and local schools. Thanks 😀
