Richmond schools: Unicorn vs. Kings House School

Hi everyone,
We live in Richmond and are trying to decide between Unicorn school in Kew vs. Kings House School on richmond hill. We have heard great things about both schools, but here is our dilemma:

-Our little one has a muscle condition and is slightly more hesitant in physical activities. Therefore we are a little hesitant in sending him to an all boys school. In his current nursery, he plays with boys and girls equally but I feel that his preference may be to have some girls around

-On the other hand, we like the larger forms in Kings House, i.e., 45 boys and 3 forms, vs. Unicorn has max 20 kids per form, and half of these will be girls and half boys. This means that for the next 7 years, his universe of friends will be 10 boys (I think boys and girls play in unisex groups around year 2)... Also larger forms are better as there is more of a choice for our little one.

-We live much closer to Kings House school - so our quality of life will be much higher re: drop offs & pick ups if we send the little one there.

We have narrowed the choices to these two schools; as they are both very strong academically and offer support for our son's muscle condition. Any thoughts you have on this would be tremendously appreciated!!

Thanks so much

@ottolengi2 I have only just joined Mums Net - sorry I am actually unabel to answer your query, but actually wonder if you are not placed to be able eto answer ours instead. I assume that you have the experience behind you now.
May I ask where you ended up going. Sound like you have similar situation. Our DS is not in to massive physical play and struggled for a couple of years in an all boys school as her was with a very physical cohort. He is now in a different boys school and totally thriving. However we have to move again and we're looking at Unicorn. We were uncertain about Kings House due to not being very sporty, but would love to hear if you did end up going there, how it has been for you and your DS.
