Hi all. we’re relocating to Hook Heath this summer from SE London. Just wondered if anyone on here lives there and also uses the state primary schools? (I think Barnsbury or Goldsworth…..but we might have to go on the waitlist?!) Could anyone tell me what the community's like there? Moving from a very family oriented community feel town in SE London, and hoping to make new friends and join the community in Hook Heath!

We live in Hook Heath and like it. Lots of green space and lovely walks and countryside nearby. There's the golf club, tennis club, and a fab Pilates studio in Mayford round the corner. Not far from St John's Lye and the canal. Our kids are older now but went to Goldsworth and were very happy there - this was a few years back though and it may have changed. I know families who are at Barnsbury, Goldsworth and Hermitage - all seem quite happy. It might be worth joining the Hook Heath residents Facebook group and asking. People are very helpful on there. Good luck with your move.

Hi, thank you so much for this message, greatly appreciated! I think I’m having last minute cold feet and looking for reassurance - probably normal when relocating your family!

I’ve joined the FB group - thanks for the tip! 😊
