Would love some opinions of LVS Ascot or Holme Grange. Anyone have experience with these schools?

I assume LVS children stay on snd ditto the other school which doesn’t have a 6th form. That would be a straight no from me. Would LVS prep for other schools? Several brilliant preps in the area so I would not choose these.

Holme Grange is good for sporty kids but they provide very little support at all to those looking to take 11+ or CE and you will need to tutor alongside if this is your aim.

My 2 dc go to Holme grange - currently in prep and will stay for senior school. It’s very sporty and outdoorsy with a real focus on pastoral care which has been fantastic for my 2. They aren’t a selective school but they still did very well this year. I’m delighted with the choice we made. It’s a shame there is no sixth form but that wasn’t a deal breaker for us as we felt the support during younger years was more important.

Wondered if their were any parents of children at LVS Ascot on here that could give up to date feedback on the school? Quality of teaching, culture of the school etc. My eldest is not the most academic in terms of maths at the moment (but he is only 7) and keen to find somewhere he can thrive.

We are looking to relocate from south west London to Ascot/ Windsor way and like the look of this school for our two boys, who are currently in reception and year 3. I particularly like the fact it’s all through to avoid the 11/ 13 exams. Will be going to the next open day but great to get feedback from current parents.

@Mumoftwoboy curious to see what decision you made re LVS? We have a primary aged child who is due to go there and am in the ‘doubting my decision’ stage so seeking feedback and reassurance!

My son just completed Year 3 at LVS and had a wonderful year. Teachers are kind and caring. Class size is good. Nice mix of children. Lots of opportunities to try numerous sports, performing arts, clubs, residentials, good variety of food, etc. etc. we are pleased with our decision.

Is your child joining in Year 4 in September?

Year 3 and year 6. they’ve been really positive about it but are now a bit wobbly. And I’m nervous about how they’ll be. And also the logistics around it all.
great to hear from people who have been really positive about the school. I have had brilliant feedback and generally feel good about it.
