As you haven't put the name of the school in the title, people from literally anywhere else in the UK might be looking at this thread, so next time it'd be a good idea to put the location in the title.

I don't know anything about that school or that area.

You could check the local authority website, and if that's not helpful, email the local authority to ask about whether the school has a catchment area, and/or what was the furthest distance from the school that a child was admitted in the past 5 years. This will give you a good idea of your chances. You should also check the admissions criteria for the school, eg as it's a Catholic school, the chances are that the children of practising Catholics will get higher priority for places.

Look at the admission criteria for the school.
Work out which band you would be in.
If there are faith criteria that put you higher up, then meet them if you can.
If you can't work out if you are 'in catchment' email the school or LA and ask them.
If it helps to be nearer then move if you can.

However no doubt there will be other suitable schools too, unless it is the only decent school in the area. Don't let yourself get caught up in thinking 'only this school'.

I don’t know the school, but Googled their admission criteria here: www.stmarysenfield.co.uk/ckfinder/userfiles/files/ADMISSIONS/AUTUMN%202021/Admissions%202023-2024%20Final%20September%202021.doc

I guess the key questions are: is your daughter Catholic, is she baptised, and if so, do you live within the map at the end?

If not, you need to work out which category you fit into, and then find out from the Local Authority what category the final child admitted was in. It’s not an exact science, but will give you some idea of your current likeliness to get in (though things can change - high/low birth years, new housing etc)
