Ken prep or Hurlingham school

Hello, new here and to London and was hoping for some advice. My DD got offered an occasional place at Kensington Prep but having asked around friends of friends, who to be fair I don't know too well but the consensus seems to be that the school is not what it used to be and its rife with bullying with very little done about it by the newish head who is more preoccupied with image than actual substance/pastoral care. Ive also heard about the huge staff turnover and poor teaching quality higher up the school which leaves me nervous as previously was lead to believe this was the best school for a girl in the area. Would love some opinions as our other option is Hurlingham which we haven't heard too much about ut starting to lean more to after the recent feedback- any parents from Ken prep or Hurlingham that could help?

Is Putney High doable for you - gives you the advantage of a place at the senior school too?

We didn’t get a spot there as they are full but yes Have heard more positive feedback on Putney high junior school.

Without knowing Hurlingh too much, I would go for Ken Prep, they should fix it eventually, cannot afford to go on like that for long.

Unless you find that Hurlingham can work for you of course. But as I said I am not familiar.

It also depends on what you are looking for in a school.

I am not familiar with Ken Prep as I have 2 boys, and I can only speak about Hurlingham. I love the school which is nurturing and the teachers are great. It is not selective but able to stretch/challenge children if needed. I would say it is a very balanced school.

Prospect is stronger than hulingham but then I would go for which side of the river you are on
