Parents evening

My child was supposed to have parents evening on 30th April.
I couldn't go because I was working. I let them know and the person on reception said she'd let teacher know and teacher would probably call me or something as substitute - fine.
I didn't get a call so I rang last Wednesday spoke to person on reception she said she'd pass on.
Nothing so I went in yesterday spoke to person on reception again she said she'd passed message on (I don't doubt this) but she'll pass on again.
I still haven't had a call.

How long should i leave it to chase again?

The last parents evening in October quite literally took 2 minutes, the shortest one I've ever had. Nothing really bad to say and nothing exceptional either. It felt a bit odd. Not sure if it'll be the same again

Ring the school and ask to make an appointment with the teacher if you can’t have a quick word with the teacher at drop off.

Well that's I've been trying to do - appointment/phone call I'm not bothered which

Have you been able to speak to the teacher directly at drop off or pick up?

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 13/05/2022 10:55

I would email the school and ask it to be forwarded to the teacher and give some times you’re free to either have an appointment or phone call.

Do you do drop off or pickups? Can you speak to the teacher then?
Does your child have a home/school book where you can leave a note?

grapehyacinthisactuallyblue · 13/05/2022 17:47

You just need to make it clear you want a meeting with teacher?

Your comment sounds a bit off. Trying to get appointment/phone call that you aren't bothered with?

Do you want to speak to the teacher or not?

viques · 13/05/2022 18:16

If verbal messages aren’t getting through drop in a note or send an email.

What comment sounds off? I'm not sure what you mean when you refer to 'trying to get appointment/phone call that I'm not bothered with?'
If you are referring to my comment above I said I'm not bothered if it's a phone call or a meeting.i am obviously bothered about speaking to the teacher as otherwise I wouldn't have followed it up
