Pre-prep - how far is too far to travel?

How far is reasonable to travel to a pre-prep? Our drive is looking like 20 mins on a good day...

Our drive is 30 mins with steady traffic. It took closer to 40 today. It's worth it because my child absolutely adores it. His sister will be joining him the year after next.

Plenty at our pre-prep do that distance. Longest I know is 30 minutes on an average day.

Depends what n where you live really! The second nearest state primary to my childhood home would have been 20mins drive away in rush hour traffic. So it sounds fine to me. But we live in SE London now and have three outstanding state primaries within ten minutes walk, and Jags/Dulwich within ten minutes drive, so no I wouldn’t drive past all of those to get to anything else.

20 minutes doesn't sound too bad. We're fortunate to live a 10 minute walk from DS's pre prep, but I'd happily have driven half an hour or so to send him here if we hadn't moved closer.
