St Joseph’s RC Primary in Maida Vale

We got a place at St Joseph’s school in Maida Vale for our child starting reception and have some troubles deciding between that and the private option of Chepstow House which we can just about afford. We viewed Chepstow properly, but the visit to St Joseph’s was on the weekend and we didn’t get to see the children and how they interact with each other and the learning environment to have a full picture.

We are both from abroad, so no personal experience of the UK schooling system whatsoever.

Does anyone have experience with St Joseph’s? Would mind sharing what works/worked for you and what didn’t?

Chepstow house is meant to be fab. I have lots of friends who send their kids there. I don’t know st Josephs.

That’s the impression I got during the tour, but having heard from a few families that private school fees are rising quite sharply, we started seriously thinking about the state option.
