Edge Grove, St Martin's or York House

Hello everyone,

I hope you will be able to help clear our dilemma. My DS, 3 year old, has been accepted to all three schools.
We know people with children at St Martin's and York House and we like both schools, but don't know anyone with links to Edge Grove.
We liked EG when we visited it but I would like to know more about the school, especially the new HM, who started in 2020, and how has the school been since? It will be good to know what other parents think of the school and how has their experience been with the new HM.

Thanks in advance.

Edge Grove and York House I would rule out personally, and go with St Martins.

I do know people who love EG but I don't think either are really academic. Just schools for well off parents. I'm not impressed by YH's 11+ results. I don't know anyone who's been rejected from there. I also know EG had to re-run their 4+ because so many declined offers after the "big" school offers came out. but, pastorally they are great. Also, YH more of a school for sporty kids.

So I would go with St Martins, mostly as you then have a better chance of sending your DS to MT's. Did you try for there?
