3+ independent primary assessment

I would very much appreciate any feedback/tips on 3+ assessments for private schools. What do they check in 3yo children? Will there be any puzzles to solve, are they supposed to have certain skills?
There is also such a big gap in development in someone who has just turned 3 and who is almost 4 at the assessment time.
We are in a highly competitive London area..

Maybe mention the specific schools you are targeting and you can get some specific advice. I don't think all the schools take the same approach to the assessments.

Regarding the age difference, most schools I'm aware of do claim to take this into account by assessing children of a similar age against each other / weighting the assessment based on age. However, despite this, there does seem in my experience to be a skew towards autumn born children within the intake.

Is this for Arnold house?

The reason I ask is because UCS and Highgate are 4+. Afaik Arnold House is one of the few doing 3+
