School videos online

Hi everyone, first post for me. Have been lurking and reading for a while now.

School have asked if they can put a video of my child on their website. I've consented to photos but am unsure about the video because it includes their name.

What do other people feel about videos of their kids being online?

Usually school don’t post full names and photo. Is it her full name eg Jane Smith or just Jane?

It's my daughter who says her first name in the video. I could possibly ask them to cut it out somehow though....

Wouldn’t bother me but if you’re not comfortable with it just say no.

I’m fine with it.. a first name is just a name. It’s not her full name. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I can’t see what difference it makes from an internet safety perspective than a photograph..

But this kinda stuff is very personal, do what you think is best!
