Any teachers or teaching assistants among us?

Hi!

I have just given up my job to volunteer in a school as a teaching assistant along completing my level 3 NCFE Teaching and supporting learning in schools qualification in my own time and at my own expense. I should be finished my course within 3-6 months as I have already part completed it.

I wondered what what people thought my chances are of this leading to paid employment within 1 to 2 years?

I am based in North Devon if that makes any difference!

Around here you could sign up today for an agency and get paid work as an unqualified teaching assistant alongside doing your course. They are crying out for supply TAs and other school staff currently. (Not Devon area though.)
