Breakfast club at school

How much do you pay for breakfast club at primary school? My GDs go to the same school. One has her breakfast there, the other doesn't as their mum said it's £30 a week and she can't afford both.

£2.50 a day. But thats £25 a week for two children... thee hugs can add up.

mafsfan · 21/02/2022 12:24

£4 per day per child so £8 a day for us.

spanieleyes · 21/02/2022 13:42

We charge £1.50 a day.

wendz86 · 21/02/2022 19:07

£3 a day or £5 for two children.

JamSandwich0 · 21/02/2022 19:25

£6 per day here.

Randomdogbite · 21/02/2022 19:29

£5 each per morning here, no sibling discount either so £20 everyday for me

otherusername · 21/02/2022 19:31

£5 per day inc breakfast

Smartiepants79 · 21/02/2022 19:35

Just remember that breakfast club isn’t really about the breakfast it’s about childcare. What time do they drop off and how long before school opens?
Let’s say it’s an hour, I guess £6 an hour does seem top end of the price ranges.

Icantremembermyusername · 21/02/2022 19:37

3.50 a morning. DC have breakfast at home and 'top up' if there's something good on offer (bagel, pain au chocolate, pancake).

Groovee · 21/02/2022 19:38

Ours is free but there is a maximum of 30 and they must be prebooked.

Jericha · 21/02/2022 19:40

£4.50 here.

Jericha · 21/02/2022 19:41

Sorry should have said that includes breakfast during the 1 hour 10 mins before school starts.

MaizeAmaze · 21/02/2022 19:46

Are you saying only one child goesat £6 per session, the other has breakfast at home and goes for school start time? I wouldn't use breakfast club if I didn't have to.
Ours is 3 per, session - which due to the staggered start times of school is 45 mins for DS2.

smalltreethisyear · 21/02/2022 22:56

£2 per day for 60 min before school drop off/childcare. No breakfast. £1.50 for siblings.

TwinkleToesStrikesAgain · 21/02/2022 22:59

Wish our school offered one - not finaially viable alas....

HelenaJustina · 21/02/2022 22:59

£4.50 for first child, £4 for subsequent. Lasts an hour and they can have cereal/toast/juice.

RedskyThisNight · 22/02/2022 12:53

It makes no sense to take one child to school for breakfast club, but not the other one ... Unless you live literally next door to the school. Or the "breakfast" club is actually a coveted activity.

Zolla · 22/02/2022 14:02

Why on earth does one GD go & not the other? Why do they need to use it for anyone if they can have one at home until school starts?! Just keep them both at home & take them to school together surely?

Ours is £4 a day & after school club is £7 a day..

HumunaHey · 22/02/2022 14:06

I am following in the hope of there being some insight given into the logic of one child going to breakfast club but not the other.

RudeBoss · 22/02/2022 14:10

Are the GDs sisters or cousins?

AndSoFinally · 22/02/2022 14:16

Ours is free

TeenPlusCat · 22/02/2022 17:04

I was thinking that maybe one GD is y6 and can go to school independently, but the other is younger and so has to have child care in the morning?

FrugralMcDougal · 22/02/2022 17:06

£5 per child and opens at 7.30am.
After school is £12 until 6pm. Set amounts doesn't matter when you drop in or pick up.

Tiredmum100 · 22/02/2022 17:14

Ours is free, you can pay a £1 donation a day per child. It starts at 08.10 each day. I didn't realise peoe had to pay. I think its free in Wales (well, every where around here is free).

Serafinaaa · 22/02/2022 17:16

£5 per child per day. £1.50 of that is for the food and the rest is for the childcare.
