Are there any current parent from either of the schools above? I can see very mixed feedback on Somerhill so had discounted it but wondering if I was up to date.

I really like the sound of Fosse Bank as well.

Looking for DD for Y4, she isn’t overly academic but very studious. Has specific language SEN but doesn’t need 1:1 or lots of additional help.

Hates lots of people and loves to feel included and nurtured.

Fosse bank is a lovely school. It is on the smaller side numbers wise for surrounding schools but that's the beauty of it. My son would not flourish as he has done in a school with vast numbers. It is a historic building with great outside space for forest school. The pta put on several events each year including Easter, Halloween and Christmas. They have just had a campover at the school which was so popular and amazing. A lot of families pitched up their tents and camped overnight and they had an amazing inflatable assault course that the kids loved. I honestly would recommend this school.

Somerhill is a large machine, extremely cliquey staff and parent body.. their marketing claims very 'warm' but only if you and your family fit.. they are selective, you just don't realise it until later.. they want a certain upper middle class parent only, it's very strategic actually.. they manage people out very quickly..
