Surbiton High Junior School - 7+

Hello, my DD has been offered a place after sitting the 7+ assessment. Does anyone have experience/opinion about the school you can share?
We live in Wimbledon Park and may not be able to move closer to the school straight away. Does anyone have an experience with catching the school bus from WP? Also, I'm a bit worried that my daughter may be quite young (8years old) to do the trip even for a few weeks. Does anyone have children travelling on the bus? Many thanks x

My son got the bus from Esher to the boys prep when he was a similar age. It feels really safe - they have a tracker app that allows you to follow the bus and the senior school girls take the younger ones under their wing! Our pick up was just near our house which helped as well.

My friends daughter joined at 7+ and is fine on the bus. Surbiton also group there classes by location so hopefully she will have other local children in her class

I got the train to school - 30m each way - from age 8 (until 18). I survived!

I just wanted to clarify that classes are sorted by location at the start of the Senior School (Year 7) when there are lots more pupils and classes. From my experience, most girls in Surbiton Girls Prep are relatively local and don’t travel in from far away.
