Help to choose between Highgate / City 7+

Hi mums,
I need a bit of help please as I don’t manage to chose between Highgate and City junior. My son just got offered his places for the 7+ and find it so hard to decide. Obviously, Highagte is closer to us, both Coed for the Junior school.
Any parents with their children in these 2 schools who could share their thoughts ? Many thanks

Try driving from Hampstead to Highgate at peak time to see if it’s really closer 😂

I did it! 20 minutes for Highgate and 30 minutes for City. So there is not a big difference in the commute travel. My question is more regarding the academic, friendship, nurturing school..

Do you plan to do 11+? If not looking into the senior school. Which one do you prefer? (Co-Ed vs single sex) Prep is only 4 years. For DD we chose City over Highgate because we prefer City girls as her senior school. (Highgate junior is great though)

I prefer for the Junior school Highgate but for the senior school City…I feel Highgate has more fields and grounds for young children, and City better as a secondary school, hence my problem I would say;) But that’s just my opinion after an open morning… Happy to hear other opinions!

Hi @BelsizeParkMum123 which one did you choose in the end?

Vote for Highgate from me. I know both the JS and SS well and think very highly of them
