Bandon Hill Woodfield vs Barrow Hedges

Hi everyone. I’ve just moved to Carshalton and am applying for primary schools for my son. We’re in the catchment area for both BANDON Hill woodfield and Barrow Hedges- which should I put first? Would be enormously grateful for any advice and insight. Thanks in advance

Both are good, my children went through Meadow Field (the sister Bandon Hill).

I work at one of your options, and have friends who work at the other. They are both well regarded locally. If you are in reach of both, you are also presumably in area for Stanley Park Infants & Juniors which is approx halfway between the two. Wood Field is a slightly bigger school, usually 4 form entry. Barrow Hedges and Stanley Park are both 3 form entry.

I honestly don't think there's a bad choice to make, it just depends on which one you like the feel of more, if you've had a chance to visit.

Do you have any insight / views regarding Bandon Hill woodfield (the new one on Stanley Park Road)? It seemed nice enough when we visited but I’m mindful that it’s new- and Barrow Hedges in contrast is well established

Wood Field isn't that new any more - the school has been full for a few years, it's first intake are now in year 8 at high school. Many of the staff there were originally at Meadow Field, and people do move between the two sites fairly frequently, so it's always had a strong set of traditions etc, if that helps? Meadow Field has been going for about 100 years!
