Hate being a teacher with demands

I'm really struggling just started back after Xmas and am already suffering.

I'm the only teacher of that year group, have no TA support and this year, the curriculum has changed again (international school). this means I am responsible for all the planning for every subject, nobody to share workload with. Its really getting me down because I have to literally push my family's needs aside just to attempt to keep on top. My children even said to met you are so fun when you are on holiday but no when you work.

In addition to this I am a subject leader. Its just too much!

Sounds like you need to move schools or negotiate more support. Any chance of moving to a school with more than one class per year group so things are shared out more?

When I was teaching and in similar position I used to try and dedicate a day or two each holiday to getting as much planning done to reduce stress each week. I know it means losing some holiday but it did make a big difference if I had mapped out the subjects.

Also are you using schemes? There weren't as many good ones when I taught but I know my DDs school use things like White Rose maths, Hamilton Science, Classroom Secrets and Twinkl. Reduces the need to make resources or map out objectives from scratch.
