Bristol Primary & Pre-school School Decision

Hi,

We're new to Bristol and I wondered if anyone had any intel on the following primary schools - trying to decide which one to go for. We are roughly just in admissions border of them so would appreciate any insights from anyone with kids in these infant schools:
Elmlea Infant & Junior School - understand there is a new head here and ofsted report seems quite old but heard great things
St John's C of E school
Westbury Park school
BGS

We've been round two of the schools but unfortunately as we haven't lived in Bristol until now didn't get the chance to see all of them.

Any intel on these and pre-schools nearby for the interim would be fab! Thanks all

OP - You might get some more responses if you uploaded your post on the Local, Bristol group.

Thanks so much, do you mean a local facebook group?

There is a Local Talk topic on MN, where you can put posts relevant to a particular town/city. Not much traffic, though!

Those are all good schools. Does Elmlea have spaces? They are often overscribed. BGS is private, so obviously different. Since state primary schools are mostly good in Bristol people tend to wait until secondary school before paying to send private. But if you have the money BGS has an excellent reputation.
