Ibstock Place Prep School

Hello everyone,
We are thinking about Ibstock Place Preparatory School for DC. While there is some discussion online about the changing of the guard in the senior school, it has been quite hard to find direct experience of the prep. Does anyone here have recent insight into children's experience of the junior school?

There is a new head in place in the prep school too. There was a thread on here about him that got deleted.

That's interesting. Do we know why it was deleted?

I'm assuming because it wasn't very complimentary

Outside of that, would any parents with experience of the school care to comment on how their DCs are doing at Ibstock Place Prep? We are struggling get a clear view of the approach to pastoral care at the school.

Current parent. The school is changing for the better, in my opinion. Since the new head began, kindness and pastoral care has improved massively. They have actively sought, from both parents and students, how they would like the school to improve. The teachers are proactive when you contact them, the fear that came from the old head has gone. This school will be better than it has been because it is truly listening for the first time in years. My child agrees with this too.

It seems like you might have something to tell us about the prep school, likely negative. as a prospective parent, would like to hear it either positive or negative. Much appreciated.

My son is on the waiting list for Ibstock and I called to ask where he is on the list to get an idea of what our chances but was told by the registrar they don’t disclose this info. What are peoples experience of being on the waiting list? Do you not hear till acceptance day??
