DD is 7 and currently crazy about Judy Moody books. Wonder what she could read next.

Flat Stanley is a big hit here.

Can't seem to get enough of Beast Quest in this house. Just as well there are loads of them.

Has she read the Daisy books by Kes Grey? Also Mr Gum, 100 Mile an Hour Dog books, 13 Storey Tree House books, Worst Witch.

Mine is obsessed with Wimpy Kid and seems to be getting all his mates hooked too!

Check out the 'ReaderTeacher' on social media/website. He has amazing recs for each year group and they are always spot on. Really visual as he puts up covers rather than titles.

My DD is 6 and in yr2 and is currently reading the Daisy series as mentioned above which I think are really fun

Over the last year she’s read and enjoyed the following series’: worst witch, my naughty little sister, the Dotty detective, the naughtiest unicorn, rainbow magic - and david Walliams’ worlds worst parents.

Captainj1 · 23/11/2021 22:16

Oh and the Michael Rosen series which are good too

PenelopeVonDelius · 23/11/2021 22:16

Dd finished her first chapter book recently and it was one of a series about fairies....something like "ava the sweet treat fairy"

Together we have been reading James and the Giant Peach and also the Amelia Fang books. I've also got her the first three Harry P books for Christmas and also Rainbow Grey, which is the same author as Amelia Fang.

Auntycorruption · 23/11/2021 22:26

Wigglesbottom primary. Rainbow fairies series. Daisy butters series.

My summer born Y2 is not the strongest reader but just about managing the above and I'm hoping they're a good way to build her stamina. Lockdown hit when my eldest was a similar age and the extra reading time did him the world of good.

Oh yes we've had those too. Choosing Crumble etc.

DD loved secret diary of pig by Emer Stamp also the Daisy books.

My Y2 DD loves the Isadora Moon books. Those are her favourites. She also likes Flat Stanley, My Naughty Little Sister, Claude, and Roald Dahl. Oh and she loved David Walliams world's worst teachers/ children.

Drywhitefruitycidergin · 25/11/2021 00:14

Treehouse, famous five, Pamela Butchart
Still goes back to the rainbow fairies & isadora moon & daisy though. She loves familiarity.

RubaiyatOfAnyone · 25/11/2021 00:23

D loves Harry Potter, Darcey Bussell’s ballerina series (all called things like “ Delphie and the Magic Shoes”), and The Trapdoor Mysteries by Abie Longstaff.

YahooTheMilkshake · 25/11/2021 10:14

The worst witch

Tiredforfive45 · 26/11/2021 19:26

DD loves The Naughtiest unicorn books. She giggles away at them!

She loves Isadora Moon too - I think they’re cack though tbh!

Noworneverever · 26/11/2021 19:29
