Christmas play epics

I have had to endure 2 nights of my childrens primary schools 2 hour long epic christmas plays, plus 1 hour costume dressing time - a total of 3 hours "overtime" at school! What kind of school keeps kids up late then expects them to turn up bright and early the next morning ready to learn! It's me the already knackered mum who can't get them to get out of bed cos their so overtired. Most of the kids couldn't give a toss about the play it all seems to be for the glory of the teachers. I saw 3 kids throwing up back stage, ill/ stressed? teachers aggressively ordering kids about, not allowing toilet trips, parents giving off about the length of the play - do all schools have these overlong plays at christmas? I'm really feeling pissing mad about it cos my kids are so tired and moody cos of lack of sleep, I want to complain to the head cos I think I'd rather take a long christmas break next year to avoid this again!
