Dear Parents who are familiar with govt funded and independent schools in Chelmsford. Please can you help me decide which are the once that has very good record of getting into grammar school?

  1. Newland spring
  2. Heathcote prep
  3. Elm green prep
  4. St cedd
  5. Beehive.

I am seeking advise to decide on the best route. Any experiences or advise will be much appreciated.

Regards
Soni

I went to CCHS and a large proportion of students came from St Cedds. This was, admittedly, 20 odd years ago, but I doubt too much has changed. For the state schools on your list: Beehive Lane is the most oversubscribed school in the whole of Essex and you won't get in there unless you live on the doorstep. No idea how successful they are with regards to the 11+.
