7yr old daughter suddenly anxious on school drop off

Hi, after some advice. My dd has suddenly started crying and clinging to me when dropping off at school. Upto now she's been fine and nothing has happened - as far as the school or I'm aware - to cause this. She is fine until she has to actually go into class but then is fine again.

Has anyone else experienced this and can suggest ways to deal/manage?

As an aside we suspect she has some autistic traits but us and the school are still at the stage of monitoring to see if additional support is needed rather than a diagnostic routine. Plus I can't see how this would affect a sudden change in behaviour.

TIA

My DD2 went through this at the same age. It’s now passed. Again, nothing to trigger it. Its a phase OP. Try to not give it too attention. If you kept reassuring her, it’s giving the message that there is something to be reassured about (according to my CAMHS) training this week) so keep things light till it stops.
